Noctambulist is a small, progression-oriented guild raiding WotLK. We are a collection of second-shift workers, parents, insomniacs and left-coasters who gather to raid late night (by EST standards) on the Elune server.
Raids start at 11:30pm, four nights a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) for 3 hours/night until 2:30am EST. Raiders in the guild are expected to maintain 75% or better attendance for raids and to be focused on optimizing their gear and play.
We came together from different places (previous guilds) and to avoid leaving old friends behind, we also have Casual players in the guild who want to hang out with us, work on non-raid projects together and maybe even sub into a raid every once in awhile.
For those of you curious about the name:
noct·am·bu·list \näk-ˈtam-byə-list\
Etymology: Latin noct-, nox night + -ambulist (as in somnambulist) — more at night
Definition: A person who walks while asleep
Basically, it's like somnambulist only with more emphasis on "at night" than "asleep" since we try to at least occasionally stay awake as we play.
